Azerbaijan Elaborates Roadmap For Digitalization Of Services
"More than 40 different informational and documentary services are currently available through the 'mygov' platform. However, the legal framework has been established only for four of them: death, birth, marriage certificates, and identity cards.
As for the other services, almost all of them are already available through 'mygov', but our goal is to make these services as convenient as possible for citizens by using a life-event format. For example, if a citizen becomes a parent, he/she will be able to complete the entire process of obtaining the necessary documents in a fully digital format - without needing to visit different government institutions or switch from one platform to another.
This format is already available for three life events: birth, death, and marriage. However, the marriage registration process cannot yet be fully digital, as physical presence is required at the final stage. Overall, we plan to digitize 11 life events by the end of 2026.
Moreover, many government institutions that primarily offer services in physical format are preparing to simplify them through 'mygov'. We have already developed a roadmap with these institutions to determine which services and in what order will be digitized.
At the same time, we are working on data cleansing. Sometimes, when citizens use the app, they notice incorrect or missing information. Addressing these issues requires joint efforts with government structures," she added.
