President Of Kazakhstan Convenes Security Council Meeting


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 9. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has held another meeting of the Security Council, Trend reports via Akorda.

Reports on steps to enhance the nation's military capabilities were presented at the meeting by Ministers Nurlan Baibazarov, Kanat Sharlapaev, and Ruslan Zhakslykov, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the National Economy.

Decisions on strategies to strengthen the state's military and supply the army with cutting-edge weaponry and equipment, including products made in the country's defense sector, were approved by the Security Council.

In his capacity as Security Council Chairman, Tokayev directed the government and other state institutions to enhance the organization of the country's military after the meeting.
