New Afghan Diplomat Begins Mission In Mashhad
Feiz ul Rahman Ataei assumed charge in the capital of Khorasan Razavi province two days before President Massoud Pezeshkian oath-taking ceremony in Tehran
IRNA quoted Iranian foreign minister's aide Ahmad Masoumifar as confirming that the Afghan diplomat had started his tenure in Mashhad on Sunday.
Ataei replaces Jaber Ansar, who left the consulate after completing his tenure, according to the report.
Mashhad houses diplomatic missions of Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia and the United Nations.
On Monday afternoon, IEA Deputy Prime Minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir arrived at the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran.
He is set to participate in the inauguration of President Massoud Pezeshkian, who is being sworn in today.
