Russian Warships Arrive In Cuba For Second Time In Two Months
This was reported by Politico , Ukrinform reports.
As noted, three ships of the Russian Baltic Fleet entered Cuban waters: a training ship, a patrol ship, and a support ship. They will stay in the port of Havana until July 30.
Representatives of the Cuban defense ministry called the arrival of Russian warships a“historical practice” and a manifestation of“friendship and cooperation.”
According to experts, Russia views Cuba as a strategically important country given its influence among developing countries.
As Ukrinform reported, last month a squadron of Russian warships, including the nuclear submarine Kazan, visited Havana.
