Russians Attacked Power Facilities In Chernihiv And Dnipro Regions Over Past Day


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Russian troops fired three times at electricity transmission system facilities in Chernihiv region yesterday, 26 July, and also attacked a substation in Dnipro region with a drone.

This was reported by the Ministry of energy of Ukraine , Ukrinform reports.

The shelling of energy facilities in Chernihiv region cut power to substations and overhead lines, as well as to 2,946 household consumers connected to them.

In Dnipropetrovska oblast, a drone attack damaged equipment at a substation in the region.

In Donetsk Oblast, a fire broke out in a mine as a result of hostile shelling. There were 86 workers in the mine at the time of the accident. 84 people were brought to the surface, while two employees remained in the mine to ensure the company's operations. The fire was extinguished.

According to the Ministry of Energy, as of Saturday, 27 July, 485 settlements remain without electricity supply due to hostilities and technological disruptions.

Power engineers have supplied power to 8,359 consumers who were cut off as a result of the hostilities.

Over the past day, Ukraine additionally engaged emergency assistance from Slovakia and Poland during evening peak hours. The Ukrainian power system also received excess electricity from the Polish power system, the Ministry of Energy noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, on 26 July, due to a drone attack on the power transmission system facilities in Zhytomyr region , equipment was disconnected at a substation.
