Tribal Clashes Over Land Dispute In Kurram Continue For Third Day: 10 Dead, 55 Injured


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Tribal clashes over a land dispute in various parts of Kurram district have continued for the third consecutive day, resulting in the deaths of 10 individuals and injuring 55 others.

Sources report that the clashes are ongoing in Bushehra, Dandar, Balish Khel, Haar Kale, Piwar, and Shapina Shaga Gido, with continuous gunfire reported at four locations.

Deputy Commissioner of Kurram, Javed Mehsud, stated that efforts are underway to negotiate a ceasefire. Members of the Grand Jirga from Hangu and Orakzai have arrived to mediate and help establish peace.

Amid these tensions, the main Parachinar highway remains closed to all traffic, exacerbating the situation for local residents.
