Rescuers Extinguish Fire In Sumy Region After Russian Shelling


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the Okhtyrka district, rescuers extinguished a fire caused by another enemy shelling of the border.

This was reported on Telegram by rescuers of the Sumy region, Ukrinform reports.

“On July 24, one of the border settlements of the Okhtyrka district was hit from the territory of the aggressor country. As a result, a fire broke out in the residential sector. The SES unit and the local fire brigade arrived at the scene. Despite the fact that the fire was complicated by the burning of hay and firewood, the flames were extinguished,” the statement said.

They also managed to avert the danger of fire destroying a home and a summer kitchen.

As reported by Ukrinform, at night and in the morning, Russians fired nine times at the border areas and settlements of the Sumy region. 78 explosions were recorded. The Miropil, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna Buda communities were shelled.

In total, Russians struck 128 times at the territory of the Sumy region over the past day, a civilian was injured and there are destructions.
