Raids by Zionist aircraft on Yemen results in numerous casualties, injuries
(MENAFN) A recent wave of air raids by Zionist aircraft on Hodeidah, a city in western Yemen, has resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. These airstrikes were a direct retaliation to a Houthi drone attack on Tel Aviv. Nasreddin bin Amer, deputy head of the media office for Ansar Allah (the Houthis), conveyed to Al Jazeera that these aggressive moves, targeting vital oil and electricity facilities in Hodeidah, will only fortify the Yemeni people and their armed forces in their commitment to supporting Gaza.
Bin Amer emphasized that the air raids did not target military installations but instead hit civilian areas. The Houthis are convinced that Zionist aircraft conducted the bombings. Reports from media outlets linked to the Ansar Allah (Houthi) group stated that the airstrikes severely damaged oil refineries at the port of Hodeidah. Bin Amer pointed out that the Zionist occupation forces were behind the attack on Hodeidah province, causing a significant fire at the main port.
According to Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV, the Zionist raids led to casualties and injuries, specifically hitting oil storage facilities at the port. An official source revealed that the airstrikes also targeted the province's electricity infrastructure and fuel tanks. Yemeni activists circulated footage of the aftermath, showing a massive fire at a site believed to house fuel tanks in the city's port.
On Friday, it was reported that a Zionist was killed and ten others were injured when a drone crashed in central Tel Aviv, mere hundreds of meters from the United States embassy. The Houthi group claimed responsibility for this attack. Yahya Saree, the group's military spokesperson, boasted that their "Jaffa drone" evaded radar detection and asserted that they have numerous targets in occupied Palestine, promising continued strikes. He also mentioned ongoing naval attacks, contingent upon ending the aggression on Gaza.
In a show of solidarity with Gaza, which is suffering from a devastating war backed by the United States, the Houthis have launched rockets and drones targeting vessels associated with the occupation across the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean. This series of retaliatory actions underscores the Houthis' dedication to supporting Gaza amid escalating regional tensions.
