UPSC Chairman Manoj Soni Submits Resignation; Cites 'Personal Reasons'


(MENAFN- AsiaNet News) UPSC Chairman Manoj Soni has submitted his resignation, citing personal reasons. However, sources from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) reported that his resignation has not yet been accepted. He has handed over the resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu.
Soni has stepped down from his position, nearly five years before his term was scheduled to conclude in 2029. He, who initially joined the Commission as a Member in 2017, assumed the role of Chairperson on May 16, 2023, becoming the 31st person to hold the position, following Pradip Kumar Joshi's tenure.
