JEDCO, JFF Sign 159 Grant Agreements To Launch Agricultural Projects

Amman, July 18 (Petra) -Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and Jordan River Foundation (JFF) signed 159 agreements with farmers, worth JD2.3 million, to establish hydroponic Agriculture and water harvesting projects.
According to a JEDCO statement Thursday, these agreements are part of the response to water scarcity and climate change, aimed to establish projects that support small farmers, rural women, young Jordanians and refugees in various governorates of the Kingdom.
The projects come within Rural Economic Growth and Employment Project (REGEP), which is implemented by JEDCO, with funding from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Dutch government, the statement pointed out.
