JCDC Attends Workshop On Global Laboratory Leadership Programme

Amman, July 17 (Petra) - The National Center for Epidemics and Disease Control (JCDC) participated on Wednesday in an international workshop on the Global Laboratory Leadership Programme (GLLP) in Muscat, Oman.
According to a JCDC statement, the workshop aims to enhance the leadership skills of laboratory directors, bolster the target countries' abilities to respond to disease outbreaks, future health emergencies, and maintain national laboratory systems, while adhering to the "One Health" approach.
The four-day event saw participation from fifteen countries in the region and the European Union, as well as experts from the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the GLLP's founding organizations.
The Jordanian team presented the programme's draft terms of reference, which received approval from the workshop participants.
