Paris Governor Swims In Seine To Repel Pollution Rumors

PARIS, July 17 (KUNA) -- Paris Mayor Ann Hidalogo on Wednesday took a dive into the Seine in a physical retaliation to rumors that some of the scheduled Olympic competitions could not be held in the river waters because they are polluted, according to the claims.
Hidalgo, after she immersed herself in the river waters and swam for a while, expressed jubilation in remarks to attending journalists, affirming that she took the initiative for the Olympics' sake.
The woman governor took the move to refute the rumors ahead of the Olympic games due to kick off in a few days. (end)
