Dacia Morocco commences production of Jogger Dacia cars in Tangier

(MENAFN) Dacia Morocco has officially commenced production of the first "Jogger Dacia" vehicles at its Tangier factory, marking a significant milestone under the banner of "Made in Morocco." The announcement, as conveyed by Dacia, highlights the introduction of hybrid and thermal engine options for the European and Moroccan markets. The manufacturing capacity for this model is anticipated to reach up to 120,000 cars annually, demonstrating Dacia's commitment to delivering quality vehicles tailored to diverse market demands.

The Dacia Jogger represents a culmination of Dacia's expertise in the C-segment car category, as detailed by the "Morocco Economy" website. This model not only incorporates hybrid technology, a first for Moroccan automotive production, but also offers four distinct engine configurations to cater to various global export markets.

The production process at the Tangier facility integrates advanced technologies, including the deployment of approximately 30 robotic systems across sheet metal fabrication and assembly lines. A specialized assembly process was developed to seamlessly incorporate hybrid technology into the manufacturing process. Over 2,500 workers underwent extensive training to support the production launch, with 700 experts specifically trained in electronic systems and qualifications.

In addition to its local impact, the launch of the Dacia Jogger signifies a substantial advancement in Morocco's industrial development strategy, particularly within the automotive sector. By producing hybrid vehicles locally, Morocco aims to bolster its competitiveness in both regional and international markets, positioning itself as a key player in the global automotive industry.
