ADNOC forms strategic partnerships for Ruwais LNG Project

(MENAFN) ADNOC has entered into an agreement with BP, Mitsui & Co., Shell, and TotalEnergies to collaborate on the low-emission Ruwais LNG project. Under this agreement, each partner will receive a 10 percent stake in the project, while ADNOC will maintain the majority stake of 60 percent. This partnership was solidified during a meeting attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, along with heads and representatives of global energy companies. The meeting focused on the future of the energy sector, the UAE's efforts to ensure a sustainable future for coming generations, and the adoption of the latest innovations and technical solutions to enhance international cooperation in these vital areas.

Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also presided over the signing ceremony of this agreement, marking the inclusion of various global partners and investors in ADNOC's LNG project in Ruwais. These strategic partnerships underscore Abu Dhabi’s position as a trusted global destination for pioneering investments. They build on the “Final Investment Decision” for the Ruwais LNG project, which Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan approved last month in his capacity as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the ADNOC Board of Directors.
