Elephant Goes On A Rampage Injuring 13 People In Kataragama
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) An elephant went on a rampage in Kataragama injuring at least 13 people.
The Police said the elephant was part of the Ruhunu Kataragama Mahadevala perahera (pageant) held on Friday night.
The elephant was seen on video, being shared on social media, getting agitated and running amok.
People who had gathered to witness the pageant scrambled out of fear causing a mini stampede.
The Police said that the 13 people injured in the incident were admitted to hospital for treatment. (Colombo Gazette)
