Galushchenko, Coleman Discuss Strengthening Resilience Of Ukraine's Energy System
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian energy Minister German Galushchenko and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman have discussed strengthening the resilience of Ukraine's energy system amid Russian attacks.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Energy Ministry on Telegram , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The key topics for discussion were directions for deepening cooperation to strengthen the resilience of Ukraine's energy system amid Russian attacks targeting energy objects.
Galushchenko briefed Coleman on the challenging situation in Ukraine's energy system and forced power cuts for consumers due to the loss of power generating facilities after enemy attacks.
The parties focused on the measures taken to restore and repair the damaged facilities, as well as the urgent needs of Ukraine's energy sector and the projects being implemented to expand the distributed power generation capacities.
Special attention was paid to Ukraine's need for gas turbines, gas piston plants and powerful generators, as well as assistance from the American side in the corresponding areas.
A reminder that earlier Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko and United States Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm discussed assistance from American partners in strengthening the resilience of Ukraine's energy system amid Russian attacks, expanding power generating capacities, and improving the protection of energy objects.
