(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Denmark will make a second contribution of about $170 million to the ZBROYARI: manufacturing Freedom project.

"Yesterday, Denmark announced the expansion of support for Ukrainian arms manufacturers by another 1.2 billion Danish kroner - about $170 million. According to the minister, the new 19th aid package from Denmark provides an opportunity to use $170 million to quickly meet the needs of the Ukrainian army.
Kamyshin noted that the mechanism for using this aid was agreed upon last week at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and was recorded in a memorandum signed by the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Denmark. The first purchase is to be made this summer.
This aid will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian army. Moreover, since the funds will remain in Ukraine, this will also strengthen the Ukrainian economy, Kamyshin added.
Earlier reports said that Defense Ministers Rustem Umerov of Ukraine and Troels Lund Poulsen of Denmark had signed a memorandum on the purchase of weapons and equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.
