Israeli Occupation Pounds Al-Nusairat Camp, With 80 Falling As Martyrs

RAMALLAH, June 8 (KUNA) -- The Israeli Occupation forces on Saturday subjected Al-Nusairat camp in central Gaza with a hail of gunfire employing various types of deadly arms as up to 80 Palestinians fell as martyrs.
The official Palestinian news agency (Wafa) said the bulk of the martyrs were children and women, adding that the unprecedented ferocious aggression spread to the vicinity of Shuhadaa Al-Aqsa Hospital.
Medics whisked the casualties to the hospital, resources, equipment fuel of which have been debilitated.
Nabil Abu Rudeina, spokesperson of the Palestinian Presidency, condemned the latest brutal mass killing of Palestinians by the occupiers. He also urged the United States to coerce the occupation to "stop this war that will annihilate everything and push the situation to a dangerous phase."
He also appealed to the Security Council to intervene immediately to end the slaughters.
Meanwhile, the occupation army said earlier that four Israeli prisoners were freed from captivity in a military operation involving special forces in Al-Nusairat camp. The freed captives were transported to a hospital for medical examination. (end)
