Argentinian Delegation Visits Mary's Center To Strengthen Public Policy Education And Health Access
Silver Spring, MD– Today, Mary's Center welcomed a health delegation from Argentina, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham Argentina). The delegation, consisting of 30-35 members including Argentinian health ministers, national health representatives, pharmaceutical industry representatives, and health insurance authorities, aims to enhance their understanding of the U.S. health system and explore avenues for research, innovation, and collaboration.
The visit underscored Mary's Center's mission to embrace all communities with quality healthcare, education, and social services, fostering healthy and thriving communities. Regarded as one of the best federally qualified healthcare centers (FQHC) in the United States, Mary's Center serves over 65,000 individuals annually in the Washington, DC metro area, offering an integrated healthcare, education, and social services model to low-income and underserved populations.
Key objectives of the Argentine delegation include:
1 knowledge of the United States' health system and its future
2 understanding of research and innovation processes in the health industry among decision-makers in both public and private
3 and strengthening dialogue and cooperation between public and private sectors.
