Kyrgyzstan Extends Ban On Export Of Wastepaper Outside EAEU


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 25. Kyrgyzstan hasextended a six-month ban on the export of wastepaper outside theEurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Trend reports.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers of the country, thecorresponding resolution was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet,Akylbek Japarov.

As per the document, a temporary ban is set for six months. Theresolution enters into force fifteen days after its officialpublication.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan has beentasked with informing the World Trade Organization and the EurasianEconomic Commission about this decision.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has beeninstructed to inform the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth ofIndependent States (CIS).

The State Customs Service and Border Service of Kyrgyzstan havebeen directed to take the necessary measures to prevent the illegalexport of such goods.

To note, the ban was first introduced in 2021 and has beenconsistently extended since then.
