Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan And Georgia Railways Form Joint Venture


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. Railways of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia have set up a joint venture, Trend reports.

According to Azerbaijan's Railways, during the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi today, Azerbaijan Railways, Kazakhstan Railways, and Georgian Railways signed an agreement envisaging the establishment of a parity joint venture.

The three countries' railways have collaborated to create an appropriate multimodal transportation along the Trans-Caspian international transport corridor. The Astana International Financial Centre will serve as the foundation for the new enterprise, Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd.

The above company will thereby offer the opportunities to provide services through a "one-window" model, guarantee the timely delivery of goods, and hence implement a coordinated policy for the advancement of multimodal services in the direction of China-Europe / Türkiye-China.
