Azerbaijan Moves Up In Cybersecurity Index- State Security Service


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. The work on establishing the National Cyber Center is now proceeding in compliance with the relevant decree of Azerbaijan's President, Head of the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan Ali Naghiyev said, Trend reports.

He spoke at the event "Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023" held in Baku.

"I will also mention that collaboration with special services of partner nations and advanced technology businesses in this field is growing in the aim of maintaining the security of important information infrastructures and organizing activities to combat cyber threats. All of this works to increase the national cyberspace's defense capability while also strengthening our standing in the global cyberspace," Naghiyev said.

Ali Naghiyev underlined that the revered President Ilham Aliyev's attention and care in the construction and development of the national ecosystem in the field of cyber security has resulted in a significant increase in Azerbaijan's position in international ratings. As a result, Azerbaijan has risen 36 places in the cyber security index rating table, from 86th to 50th place. This result represents Azerbaijan's highest ranking in the rating table to date.

Critical Infrastructure Defence Challenge 2023 (Cidc-2023) is being held at the Baku Congress Center, jointly organized by the State Special Communication and Information Security Service and the State Security Service of Azerbaijan.
