(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Evidence of Russia's cooperation with terrorist organizations in the Middle East and the government of Iran is becoming more obvious so it is possible that Israel will eventually change its position on the level of assistance to Ukraine in its war against the aggressor.
This was stated in an exclusive interview with Ukrinform by a U.S.-based national security expert Eugene Vindman.
"I would also anticipate that the issue of Israel's lukewarm support for Ukraine will also shift to much more active support," Vindman said.
He noted the statements by some Israeli officials who find it necessary to focus on a Russian threat once they deal with Hamas and potentially Hezbollah.
"I believe there'll be some interesting developments across the Middle East and in other parts of the world that will affect Russia negatively," the expert said.

When asked if he sees the cause and effect relationship between the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Hamas attack on Israel, the expert responded affirmatively.
"I do see a connection. I think Russia operates in strategic environment where they have assets in different parts of the world that they can activate. They have Wagner elements that have supported coups in North Africa,” Vindman said.
Noting long-term ties between the Russian Federation and terrorist organizations in the Middle East and the Iran government, the expert said:“They recently hosted in Moscow delegations from Iran, they hosted terrorist groups, and those linkages that exist establish that they had a role," said the expert.

As reported earlier, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, following the visit to the Middle East last week, stated that Hamas and Russian President Vladimir Putin share the same motivation but they won't be able to achieve their goals.
In a recent appeal to the nation, U.S. President Joe Biden said the terrorist organization Hamas and Russian President Vladimir Putin share a common desire to destroy the neighboring democracies.
