Amman, Aug. 23 (Petra) -- The star of Suhail appeared in the sky at dawn Wednesday, heralding the approaching end of the summer heat and the September rains, Jordanian astronomer Imad Mujahid told the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
He indicated that the yellowish-white Suhail normally appears on August 23rd of every year and was considered a sign of the changing of seasons before modern-day astronomical calculations were invented.
The blazing heat of the summer is expected to gradually ease, setting the scene for lovely outdoor weather at nighttime, while the imminent September rains, which may cause torrential rains in different regions of the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant, will be mostly beneficial for the lands and surface waters, particularly truffles.
