Zaluzhnyi Discusses With American, British Partners Cooperation In Military Sphere


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi held talks with NATO's supreme allied commander and commander of U.S. forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, and Chief of the Defence Staff of the British Armed Forces, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

The meeting was also attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Serhiy Shaptala, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, General Mykhailo Zabrodskyi, Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Pavliuk, and Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, General Kyrylo Budanov.

The key topic of the talks was cooperation in the military sphere.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces briefed the partners about the situation at the front and the course of offensive and defensive operations of Ukrainian forces.

The meeting participants also discussed possible enemy actions. Separately, they focused on the needs of military units.

Zaluzhnyi noted that the Defense Forces need ammunition, weapons, air defense systems, electronic warfare systems, and devices for remote demining.

"Another extremely important issue is drones. Countering enemy drones and building up own capabilities," he added.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, at the meeting with the partners, it was agreed to focus work in this direction. Strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure facilities from enemy air attacks was also discussed.

Zaluzhnyi thanked the American and British partners for the support and assistance they provide in the fight against the Russian aggressor.

As Ukrinform reported, American analysts believe that Ukrainian forces have made tactically significant progress in two main sectors of the front over the past few months.
