Saudi Arabia Extends Visit Visa To Eight New Countries

Doha, Qatar: Saudi Arabia has announced that citizens of eight new countries can avail the visit visa option for the purpose of tourism, business, visiting family, and Umrah.

According to the new directive, nations of Albania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, South Africa, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan can apply for visitor visa electronically or upon arrival at one of the Kingsom's entry points.

The Ministry of Tourism made the announcement, welcoming "the world by expanding the issuance of visit visas to 8 new countries and facilitating the visa issuance procedures, either electronically or at KSA ports, in order to offer an unforgettable travel experience."

The multiple entry visa is valid for a year from its date of issuance and allows for stay of up to 90 days.

The extension of this e-visa brings the total number of eligible countries to 57.

Visitors availing this visit visa must leave the country before the specified duration of the stay expires as mentioned in the visa.

The ministry added that the stay duration stipulated in the visa must be adhered to and a renewal is possible only after the visa expires. It also warned that these visas does not allow the visitor to work or perform Umrah during Hajj season.
