The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate described the practices of the so-called "Magen David Adom" medical relief teams within the Israeli occupation system as criminal, terrorist, and inhumane. The syndicate called for urgent intervention from the Federation of Humanitarian and Medical Rights Associations and international relief organizations to provide protection for Palestinian journalists from the danger posed by the Magen David Adom crews and their relief vehicles.

According to a press release issued by the Freedom Committee affiliated with the Journalists Syndicate, the committee documented a serious crime and attempted murder carried out by an armed man driving a vehicle with the Magen David Adom emblem. This incident occurred on the agricultural road that connects the town of Tammun to the Red Iron occupation barrier in the Jordan Valley.

The statement further mentioned that the incident involved the colleague Nasser Ishtayeh, who was with the trainee journalist Ali Ishtayeh and activist Ayman Ghareeb. They were threatened with a gun by the ambulance driver, who ordered them to evacuate their vehicle immediately.

Nasser Ishtayeh, in his testimony to the Freedom Monitoring Unit, stated that he felt the imminent danger of death and called the emergency number (100), informing the occupation police of what was happening. This led to the arrival of Israeli military patrols, who interrogated them without revealing the identity or affiliation of the armed individual, despite him being the only one in the vehicle.

The statement highlighted that this incident is just one in a series of violations by Magen David Adom, disregarding the basic principles of professionalism. The organization allows its vehicles and emblems to be used in criminal acts against the Palestinian people. Additionally, they have failed to provide any relief to Palestinian journalists who have been shot or exposed to toxic gas bombs by the Israeli army.

The Freedom Committee concluded its statement by highlighting the numerous correspondences by the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate's president, Nasser Abu Bakr, to the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and humanitarian and human rights organizations, aiming to garner support for Palestinian journalists facingm my the crimes and violations of the occupation system, as well as to expose the practices of the occupation regime, which operates as a terrorist gang comprising politicians, soldiers, settlers, and even their relief teams bearing the emblem of relief
