(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak published a photo of the engine carburetor from an enemy Shahed-136/131 attack drone that attacked Mykolaiv at night and called for tougher sanctions. The relevant statement was made by Andriy Yermak on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The first photo shows a foreign carburetor of the engine of the Iranian UAV that attacked Mykolaiv at night (it says "made in Ireland" - ed.). Glory to air defense, thank you for shooting it down. The second photo shows a part with a worn-out serial number," Yermak said.
According to the head of the Office of the President, "the carburetor, like hundreds of other parts, is made in Western and Asian countries. Russians often erase serial numbers in foreign components."
"Russia has been buying foreign technological products for many years, but now that they are becoming tools for killing people, terrorism and genocide, this cannot continue. We cannot turn a blind eye to this and say that sanctions are enough. No, they are not enough, because the shelling and raids by attack UAVs continue every day," emphasized Yermak.
In his opinion, "if the new "Shaheds" and missiles now have Western or Asian components, restrictions are not enough." "Manufacturing companies also cannot be satisfied with the fact that their components are present in weapons that kill people," noted Yermak.

"The McFaul-Yermak Group proposes concrete steps. We need new sanctions restrictions, as well as effective implementation and control. We provide our partners with recommendations on what restrictions can be introduced and what controls can be strengthened. We also urge the countries of the Global South to join this process," emphasized Yermak.
Head of the Office of the President reminded that "in the 11th EU sanctions package, some of our proposals to combat re-exports were taken into account. But sanctions need to be strengthened. The price is people's lives. Every day. Very soon we will see new steps from our partners," he added.
As Ukrinform reported, on the night of July 18, Russians attacked Ukraine from the south with six Kalibr cruise missiles and 36 Shahed attack drones.
