Officials Discuss Boosting Qatar-Africa Civil Aviation Ties

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) held a session of bilateral talks yesterday.

In charge of managing QCAA Mohamed Faleh Alhajri headed the Qatari side, while Secretary General of AFCAC Adefunke Adeyemi headed the African side. Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the State of Qatar H E Igor Marara, attended the session alongside a host of officials from QCAA and AFCAC.

The two sides discussed cooperation and relations in the field of civil aviation and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to the Qatar-African cooperation programme in the field of developing and upgrading human resources in civil aviation which primarily aims to upgrade efficiency in civil aviation security and safety in Africa.

The cooperation aims to achieve Qatar Airways' interests as the national airline of the State of Qatar, increase opportunities of developing transport rights, as well as expand investment opportunities in Africa where aviation have seen steady growth in the recent years, bringing good tidings to a promising future of Africa as a continent that is rich of natural and human resources.
