UK Cancer trust refuses ‘bonus hole’ term

(MENAFN) Medical charity Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust has protected suggesting health experts using the notions ‘bonus hole’ as well as ‘front hole’ instead of ‘vagina’ to accommodate trans men as well as non-binary patients for cervical showings, informing a news agency on Saturday that the direction on its website is not designed for all patients.

The trust clarified that the language wasn’t oriented at “all women,” however, it was extracted from a guide for health experts seeking to inspire trans-men as well as non-binary female-bodied people to come in for cervical cancer showings.

“It is a list of phrases that nurses may hear some patients prefer,” an official explained, mentioning the dictionary had been “developed with expert organizations who work with the LGBT community.”

While confessing that “women are our main audience” at the cervical cancer trust, the official emphasized that Jo’s task was to screen as many cervixes as he could, doesn’t matter who is the patient.
