(MENAFN- kuwait news agency (kuna)) berlin, july 1 (kuna) -- french president emmanuel macron decided to cancel his visit to germany, originally slated for tomorrow, the german presidential palace announced on saturday.
german president frank-walter steinmeier spoke with president macron by phone to discuss the current rioting in france, according to a statement from bellevue palace in berlin.
during the conversation, steinmeier expressed regret over, and understanding of, macron's decision.
the visit is expected to be rescheduled for another date later on.
