Ukraine Has Mechanisms To Counter Russian Bal Missile System - Ihnat

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The relocation of a division of the Russian Bal coastal missile system to the Bryansk region indicates the enemy's shortage of high-precision long-range weapons.

This was stated by Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Air Force Command of the armed forces of Ukraine, during the national telethon "United News", an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"If the enemy uses the Bal, it means that the Russians have a certain shortage of Kalibr missiles, X-101/X-155, Iskander, and Kinzhal missiles. This is an alternative, a replacement for high-precision long-range weapons. That is, the enemy will use the systems that are available and the missiles to them directly," Ihnat said.

He noted that the Russians have not yet used Bal, but Ukraine's top military leadership already has certain mechanisms to counter the new Russian threat posed by these coastal missile systems.

At the same time, according to Ihnat, these Bal systems are not the only thing the enemy has, it uses all available forces and means to strike at Ukrainian positions. "In particular, the enemy is conducting active aerial reconnaissance along the entire front line, a lot of drones are monitoring the movement of our troops. In addition, the enemy is actively using aviation, in particular Su-35, to strike with guided bombs. Today, they also sent S-300s to Zaporizhzhia," noted the Air Force Command spokesman.

As reported by Ukrinform, on June 12, the National Resistance Center informed that Russian troops had moved Bal coastal missile systems to the Bryansk region to fire at peaceful Ukrainian cities.

According to Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the relocation of a division of the Russian Bal coastal missile system to the Bryansk region increases the threat of X-35 missiles being fired at targets in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

Last night, an air alert was declared in the capital and many regions of Ukraine. The Russian invaders launched another massive missile and air strike on Ukraine.
