334 male and female athletes from 42 nations, including four Arab nations (the UAE, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Algeria), will compete in the competition.
On Thursday, the championship draw took place in front of Nasser Al Tamimi, the Head of Mission, the Treasurer of the International Judo Federation, the Secretary General of the UAE Judo Federation, and Victor Sektrov, the Technical Director of the National Team.
The UAE national team's participation in the competition is a step in its quest to increase its number of Olympic qualification points for the 2024 Paris Games.
