Saudi Arabia aims to reinforce its relationship with China

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is gathering officials, administration representatives, executives, as well as financers from giant firms in the two Saudi Arabia as well as China in one room in the capital Riyadh, as it aims to strengthen its commerce relations with the second-biggest economy in the world.

The 10th Arab-China Business Conference, happening on June 11 and 12 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre, is viewed as an important move ahead in Saudi Arabia’s initiatives to expand exchange with China outside the hydrocarbons industry and entice Chinese investments in the non-oil financial markets of Saudi Arabia, experts stated.

Ihsan Bu Hulaiga, an independent Saudi investor stated “This is a major event and the gathering makes perfect business and economic sense,” he continued: “Trade between Saudi Arabia and China has risen in a very consistent [manner] from the 2000s until today."

Both economies have “mutual needs” and the relation has all the elements to be a “sustainable one for years to come”, Ihsan Bu Hulaiga also claimed.
