Ayatollah Khamenei: Arrogant Countries Will Continue Hostility Towards Iran

(MENAFN) In his address on the 34th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized that arrogant nations will persist in their hostility towards Iran, even if the country retreats from its stances. He stated that these nations desire a subservient Iran with no identity. Speaking at the shrine of Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Khamenei asserted that the enmity of arrogance towards the Iranian nation cannot be eliminated through retreats. He pointed out that, in the past, Iran's concessions have only encouraged further aggression from the enemies.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the enemies of Iran are unsatisfied with its retreats and are determined to revert Iran to its pre-revolutionary state. He cautioned that the adversaries seek to "disappoint" Iranian youth by highlighting internal issues and problems within the country. Despite these challenges, the Leader expressed his confidence in the strength and resilience of the Iranian nation.

Ayatollah Khamenei paid tribute to Imam Khomeini, recognizing him as an exceptional figure in Iran's history, surpassing his contemporaries in various fields such as religious knowledge, jurisprudence, philosophy, theoretical mysticism, faith, and piety. The Leader emphasized that figures like Imam Khomeini cannot be erased from the memory of history and their contributions cannot be removed or distorted.

The remarks by Ayatollah Khamenei reaffirm Iran's steadfastness in the face of external pressures and underscore the importance of maintaining a strong national identity. Despite the challenges posed by hostile nations, Iran remains determined to preserve its sovereignty and uphold the principles of the Islamic Revolution.
