(MENAFN) According to Ramin Sadeqi, the head of Ardebil province's Industry, Mining, and Trade Department, a total of 43 idle production units were brought back into operation during the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20. The revival of these units has not only contributed to economic growth but has also created employment opportunities for approximately 750 individuals in the region.
Sadeqi emphasized the importance of removing barriers to production and promoting sustainable job creation as fundamental pillars for economic development. With the government prioritizing the expansion of production and the generation of employment, the Industry, Mining, and Trade Department of Ardebil province has been working diligently to address existing challenges and legal obstacles. Through collaboration with various executive bodies, they are striving to overcome these hurdles and create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
The province's efforts to revive idle production units are part of a broader nationwide initiative. As announced by the head of the Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), a total of 1,714 idle production units were successfully revitalized throughout the country during the past year. This demonstrates a concerted commitment to stimulate economic activity and enhance productivity in various sectors.
In Ardebil province specifically, Sadeqi revealed that out of the 1,056 production units in the region, approximately 91 percent are currently active. However, there is still room for improvement, as nine percent of the units remain stagnant. Addressing the challenges faced by these idle units and encouraging their revival will further contribute to the province's economic growth and employment prospects.
The revival of idle production units not only brings about economic benefits but also has broader implications for the overall socio-economic development of the region. By creating jobs and fostering a productive business environment, these initiatives contribute to poverty reduction, skill enhancement, and improved living standards for the local population.
Moving forward, it is essential for authorities at both provincial and national levels to continue prioritizing initiatives that promote the revitalization of idle production units. By streamlining administrative procedures, providing financial support, and offering technical assistance, the government can encourage more entrepreneurs and investors to revive dormant businesses. This will not only strengthen the industrial sector but also contribute to the sustainable and inclusive development of the Iranian economy as a whole.
