S. Arabia Launches Popular Campaign To Relieve Sudan


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, May 8 (KUNA) -- King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Aid Center (KSrelief) launched on Monday the popular campaign to relieve the Sudanese people.
The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have directed the center to provide USD 100 million worth of various humanitarian aid and to organize the national campaign through the "Sahem" platform to alleviate current conditions faced by the Sudanese people.
Advisor at the Royal Court and KSrelief Supervisor General, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah affirmed that the assistance emanates from the keenness of the Monarch and the Crown Prince to stand by the Sudanese people and mitigate impact of the crisis in Sudan.
He expressed sincere gratitude to the Monarch and the Heir Apparent for their noble stances, which come as an extension of Riyadh's humanitarian role of standing with the affected and the needy all over the world. He revealed that under the generous directives, relief, humanitarian, and medical aid will be provided to the displaced in Sudan. (end)
