Clashes Continue In Sudan Despite Truce


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM, April 22 (KUNA) - Clashes raged in Sudan for the eighth day despite the agreed 72 hours Eid Al-Fitr truce prompting many countries to start evaluating their diplomats and nationals.
KUNA correspondent in Sudan reported that loud explosions were heard and fire flames were seen near the Presidential Palace in Khartoum.
The army Spokesman Brigadier Nabil Abdullah stated that the army could not set a time limit for operations to "end the rebellion".
He added that the SAF had agreed on requests from several countries to help evacuate their diplomats and nationals from Sudan. (end)
