Turkish President Erdogan Aims to Make Turkey Global Center of Attraction in Health Care

(MENAFN) President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey has vowed to transform his country into a "global center of attraction" in the field of health care. Speaking at the opening ceremony of a city hospital in the northwestern Kocaeli province, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey is not only a provider of health services to its own citizens, but also an increasingly popular destination for foreigners seeking high-quality health care.

Erdogan credits the exemplary infrastructure and system reforms that Turkey has implemented in the field of health care, as well as the continued strengthening of manpower, for making Turkey an attractive destination for medical services. The president's vision is to make Turkey a global leader in health care, attracting patients from all over the world.

Erdogan also highlighted the importance of city hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic and after the massive earthquakes that hit Turkey on Feb. 6. The president asserted that Turkey was able to respond to these challenges with the strength of its state, the capacity of its institutions, and the sacrifice of its people.

The Feb. 6 earthquakes, with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6, devastated numerous Turkish provinces and caused the loss of over 50,000 lives. Around 14 million people in Turkey were affected by the quakes, as well as many others in northern Syria.

Erdogan's ambition to make Turkey a global center of attraction in health care is a testament to the country's commitment to improving health care services and infrastructure. The president's vision is to provide high-quality health care to Turkish citizens and foreigners alike, and to make Turkey a leader in the field of health care.
