Saudi National Team For Physics Wins 4 Medals At 2023 Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, April 17, 2023, SPA -- The Saudi national team for physics has secured four medals in the 20th edition of the Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad, one of the most esteemed competitions worldwide, hosted by the Republic of Estonia from April 14-16. The Saudi national team won two silver medals and two bronze medals among 91 students representing nine countries.
Hussein Qadah, a third-grade secondary student from Jeddah Education Department, won a silver medal after 2,400 hours of intensive training by a group of Saudi and foreign trainers in the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). Mohammed Al-Barakat, a second-grade secondary student from the Eastern Region, also won a silver medal after receiving 2,400 training hours.
In addition, Mazen Al-Shakhs, a first-grade secondary student from Al-Ahsa, won a bronze medal after receiving 2,000 hours of intensive training, while Roz Al-Sindi, a first-grade secondary student from Makkah Education Department, won another bronze medal after receiving 1,700 hours of training.
This accomplishment marks an extension of the Kingdom's scientific achievements in international competitions and reflects the success of the complementary relationship between Mawhiba, the Ministry of Education, and their strategic partners.
