3-2-1 Obstacle Challenge Promotes Fitness, Family Bonding

Doha: The ongoing Obstacle Challenge organised by the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum engages the whole family in a fun and exciting way to be active and fit.

In a statement, 3-2-1 said the Obstacle Challenge promotes healthy habits and creates unforgettable memories.

The event is happening until April 23 at Khalifa International Stadium, Gates 16 and 17, from 7pm to 11pm.

Moreover, it said that the Obstacle Challenge improves strength and balance, promotes emotions in the family, reduces feelings of anxiety and depression, enhances kid's motor planning and problem-solving and develops kid's social skills. Prizes and rewards also await children who will be participating in the challenge.

The Obstacle Challenge features a parents and kids course, and a separate toddler course, ensuring that all ages can participate in the challenge and each has specified activities they can join in.

Everyone may take part in the Obstacle Challenge as it features a parents and kids, and toddlers course. Ages three to six years old can participate in the toddler obstacle course, and a separate course is allotted for adults and children.

The activities under the children obstacle course are rope swing, jump pole, ring swing, tire run, monkey bars, angled ladder, climbing rope. And under toddlers obstacle course: over-under-through, stepping stones, tunnels, balance beams, speed tire hurdles, quad steps, apex ladder, and net.

Ariana from Philippines who registered at the event along with her husband and two-year-old child said the Obstacle Challenge made the whole family bond more.“It was fun, and exciting for all of us. This is the first time we joined and my son really liked it because he gets to play with other kids, and you know these toddlers, they try to compete with each other.”

“This is a good way to encourage people to get fit, be fit and have an activity where all members of family are involved as there are challenges for each age type,” said Ramon from Ecuador, who took up the challenge on Monday.“The weather was also pleasant, and the venue is just amazing, I haven't watched any World Cup games so being in the Khalifa International Stadium is fantastic.”

The Obstacle Challenge is free to attend but registration is needed through qm.org.qa. Meanwhile, the 3-2-1 Obstacle Race 2023 will be on April 24, from 4pm to 9pm, also taking place at Khalifa International Stadium Gates 16 and 17. A ticket is required for this competition, which will test and see who is the fastest.
