Islamic Affairs Ministry Holds Iftar Banquet And Distributes Meals In Republic Of Mali


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Bamako, April 11, 2023, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance held an Iftar banquet in the Republic of Mali during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Kingdom's embassy in the Malian capital Bamako.
The Iftar was held as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's Iftar project.
Attending the Iftar were Saudi Ambassador to Mali Khalid bin Mabrouk Al-Khaled and several Malian officials, including Adviser to the President of the Transitional Period Dr. Zeyni Moulaye and Minister of Religious Affairs and Worship Dr. Mahamadou Koné.
Al-Khaled stressed that the programme carried out by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs is the culmination of the Kingdom's humanitarian efforts and its solidarity with Muslims, especially in Ramadan, when the wise leadership increases efforts to serve Islam and Muslims, and extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince.
The programme this year has as goal serving Iftar to 30,000 fasting people in the Republic of Mali during Ramadan. It also aims at distributing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques gift of fine Saudi dates and copies of the Holy Quran produced by King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran.
