Ramadan Inspiring Creativity: Writers

Doha: Throughout the ages, Arabic literature celebrated the blessed month of Ramadan, which was an inspiration for creativity.
A number of writers and critics affirmed in exclusive statements to QNA that the holy month was strongly present in the literary imagination of poets, writers and creators, noting that this is due to the inspiration of the values and aesthetics associated with this month from the religious, cultural and social aspects as well.
In this context, Department Head of Arabic Language at Qatar University, critic Dr. Seeta Al Athba drew attention to the importance of the month of Ramadan in promoting noble Islamic and human values and in disciplining oneself, explaining that this month has always been present in the memory of Arabic literature
Al Athba said Arabic literature has flourished since the era of the Prophet (PBUH) in various forms of expressing this eagerness, celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, and its impact on self-refinement and the dedication of human values, synergy and solidarity among Muslims.
