Md Akkas Uddin, one of the founders of La Mensa restaurants, said that he wanted to bring a unique and glamorous buffet experience to the beautiful port city and so, he embarked on his dream to set up a flourishing luxury Food and Beverage business. Hence, 'La Mensa' was born.

La Mensa is a luxury restaurant at Khulshi area of the port city. It is a hotspot for haute cuisine and a gourmet buffet experience. It offers an incomparable luxurious, multi-cuisine experience for anyone with a global palate, claimed Akkas.

He further mentioned, La Mensa has a staff of over 100 members, including 10 internationally trained chefs.

The success of La Mensa came from the dedicated efforts made by the restaurant's founders, noted Md Akkas Uddin.

Akkas shared that he began his career as a trainee waiter in 1997 after completing a diploma on Food and Beverage from Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation and climbed up the ladder gradually with hard work and dedication. Since then, he has persevered and achieved immense success working across many star hotels in Chattogram like The Peninsula Chittagong,

After working continuously as the Food and Beverage Manager of The Peninsula Chittagong till 2019, Akkas put the skills and training he received through his education and experience in the industry into an entrepreneurial aspiration.

Md Akkas Uddin is also the Director of Operations at Bonjour and President of the Night Shadow Club in Chattogram.

He continues to be passionate and innovative in the realm of Food and Beverage. His future plans include building a five-star boutique hotel in Chattogram, conluded Akkas.
