Americans worried about skyrocketing inflation

(MENAFN) Americans in Texas and Washington, D.C., who are concerned about the increase, spoke to Fox News about how they're handling increased grocery prices.

Kim, an Austin resident, told Fox News, "I was extremely astonished by sparkling water pricing today, the fact that they had increased significantly.

Devontae of Washington, D.C., claimed to have just just been aware of an increase in supermarket costs.

He told Fox News, "I just went grocery shopping for the month. And I didn't really notice the price rise the last time I did my monthly food shopping.

However, I did it this time, Devontae said. "And the reason for that is presumably because prices have not merely increased by a few cents or dollars. They seem to have increased by $2 or $3."

The cost of supermarket essentials has increased recently due to inflation and shortages of specific foods. For instance, during a statewide outbreak of avian flu last year that infected around 60 million chickens, the price of eggs increased by 60% year over year in December, according to Fox News.
