LONDON - Santander UK has hired Andrew Wilson as its new director of corporate communications and responsible banking, replacing Louise Shield, who has left the bank after seven years to join savings and investments business M&G as group director of corporate affairs. Wilson, who also joins the bank's exco, will lead corporate communications activities, as well as the development of its sustainability and education programmes. He joins Santander after nine years at strategic communications consultancy Charlotte Street Partners, where he was a founding partner; he was previously head of group communications at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

LONDON - BCW has appointed Jordan Kavanagh as associate creative director. He joins from The Romans, where he was senior creative for two years, working with brands including Duolingo, Ecover, Method and Lidl. Prior to The Romans, Kavanagh worked at Freuds as the lead earned media creative on the KFC account. In his new role, Kavanagh will work alongside executive creative director Pete Way to support the creative team on work including Aldi and as part of WPP's Open X team for The Coca-Cola Company.

LONDON - Also at BCW, Emily Lord has been hired as a senior director in the London healthcare team. Lord joins from Sanofi, where she held a number of roles, including head of communications at Sanofi Vaccines for UK and Ireland and, more recently, head of its UK and Ireland RSV franchise. Before Sanofi, she spent four years in Edelman's healthcare business where she worked with pharmaceutical companies, NGOs and patient advocacy groups at global and regional levels.

LONDON - Mario Creatura has been appointed by MHP Group to lead a new digital advocacy offer within the agency's public affairs practice. Creatura was the first Downing Street special adviser appointed to oversee digital communications, serving under prime minister Theresa May from 2017 to 2019. He joins MHP from Dentons Global Advisors, where he led a digital unit supporting clients including the John Lewis Partnership, Budweiser and Lockheed Martin. Creatura will report to new head of public affairs Tim Snowball, who joined from fleishmanhillard last month.

BRUSSELS - Instinctif Partners has appointed William Dazy as managing partner in its Brussels office. Dazy joins the public affairs leadership team to support clients across European markets, including businesses in the technology and finance sectors. He was previously a senior advisor at FTI Consulting in Brussels, and worked in-house for Canon, setting up and managing its EU government affairs office. Dazy replaces Brandon Mitchener, who has returned to independent advisory after four years.

BRUSSELS - Nicola Scocchi has joined strategic communications and public affairs consultancy Fourtold as partner and head of office for its EU advocacy and public affairs business in Brussels. Scocchi previously served as a director and member of the management team at Edelman Brussels, where he headed the health practice, working with clients in the healthcare, nutrition and consumer sectors on policy and reputational issues. Before Edelman, Scocchi worked at FTI Consulting, and has also worked in the European Parliament.

LONDON - Women in PR, the UK membership organisation for senior women in PR and communications, has appointed Jo Carr (pictured), co-founder and chief client officer at Hope&Glory PR, as its new president. She succeeds Hera Communications MD Anna Geffert, who has led the organisation for the past two years. Ginny Paton, managing partner at Ogilvy PR, becomes vice president. Carr said:“There is still much work to be done
- whether that's tackling everyday sexism and racism, calling for better inclusivity, campaigning for better parental policies, helping women with the life-work juggle or simply fronting up the confidence-loss mid-lifers can experience. I look forward to welcoming our new committee members to continue our campaign for equality and to provide new, supportive tools, skills and opportunities to inspire and empower our members into senior leadership roles.”

LONDON - FTI Consulting has hired insurance communications specialist Nathan Hambrook-Skinner as a senior director in its strategic communications segment. He joins from Lloyd's of London, where he led brand, marketing and communications for the Americas from New York and London. In his new role, Hambrook-Skinner will focus on developing FTI Consulting's integrated communications consulting services for a growing roster of global insurance clients.

LONDON - Stand has made a number of changes in its senior team, promoting director Georgie Howlett to managing director, while Laura Oliphant continues as founder of the 10-year-old B Corp agency. The senior team is also bolstered by two hires to drive forward Stand's growing portfolio in sustainability, finance, education, health and the arts: Fleur Clarke joins from publishing house HarperCollins as head of content and creative, while Claire Brady joins as head of sustainability from charity Bioregional.

LONDON - Eulogy has appointed its first creative director, hiring Greg Mitchell as a permanent member of the team after a period freelancing for the agency. Mitchell was previously creative director at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where he worked with clients including Adidas and Huawei. Eulogy has made another creative hire, naming Kathryn Venediger as creative manager; she returns to the agency after a stint at Frank.

LEEDS, UK - Prohibition PR has appointed Rachel Gardner as account director, having previously held the same position at Finn Communications where she led on campaigns for brands including Asda, Jammie Dodgers, Cushelle and Finsbury Food Group. Gardner will lead on B2B and B2C work for Prohibition PR's food and drink clients such as Primula, Fentimans and Sponge, as well as recent account wins including Yorkshire Water.

LONDON - Rooster has made its first direct-level appointment, promoting Yasmine Triana after three years as head of PR, after seeing a 47% increase in fee income last year and opening a second office in Bristol.

LONDON - Independent integrated marketing agency Cream has appointed Harriet Salmon as client services director. In this new role, Salmon is responsible for ensuring quality of client services across the business, growing Cream's client base, overseeing key accounts, as well as looking after PR and event strategies. She joins the agency after eight years as client services director at branded content agency, Contented Brothers. Recent business wins for Cream include Tinder, Bolt, Kantar and Royal Mint.
