MAPNA to establish 20 EV charging stations in Iran’s public places


(MENAFN) Iran's MAPNA group, which is a group of Iranian firms included in forcing main industrial ventures, has confirmed a strategy for establishing 20 electric vehicle charging stations thru Iran.

The firm has asked concerned private industry financers to contribute in this pioneering venture, IRNA mentioned in a report.

The stated stations are going to be established in public places including shopping hubs, public parking lots, housing centers including hotels and guesthouses, intercity resorts, entertainment centers, gas stations, as well as roadside parks.

According to the model that Mapna has presented for the private industry contribution in the venture, the group assumes the supply of chargers, shelters, software and network systems, integration, commissioning, support, and guarantees, as well as operation and repairs, whereas the private sector can supply the branching of electricity, internet, land in addition to protection of the site.

Previously in 2020, the previous managing director of Mapna Group stated that the group was arranging an offer package for the output of electric vehicles or to turn regular cars into electric ones.

Abbas Aliabadi stated that “This equipment can be utilized to electrify the cars being produced as well as the cars that have been produced and the owners request to electrify them.”

Underlining the necessity of improving the infrastructure for production electric vehicles in the nation, the official stated "We are installing the charging stations for this type of cars in some cities and we are ready to develop this equipment across the country. Currently, these stations have been installed in Tehran and Mashhad and will be implemented in other cities in the near future.”
