US denies being involved in Iran attack

(MENAFN) The Pentagon has denied that any United States personnel were involved in a Late-Saturday drone assault that destroyed a defense ministry complex in the Iranian city of Isfahan in the country's center. The declaration comes in response to rumors suggesting that the United States and Israel may be engaged.

The Iranian Defense Ministry states that several drones attempted to assault a military factory, but air defenses were able to resist the attack. Additionally, it added that there were no injuries and that the institution was carrying on as usual.

Tehran refrained from placing blame but stressed that "a cowardly drone attack…will not impede Iran’s progress on its peaceful nuclear program" in a statement by Hossein Amirabdollahian, the foreign minister.

The Iranian news agency FARS published video on Monday that seemed to be the remains of numerous tiny drones that had presumably been used in the strikes. The facility's slightly damaged building was also shown in the film.

Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder, a spokesman for the Pentagon, asserted that no United States military personnel participated in a statement to Reuters on Sunday. He opted not to elaborate further on the event.
