Amman, Jan 28 (Petra) -- Saudi Arabia is a key and strategic market for the Jordanian industry, and it holds great opportunities in various sectors, according to wood industries and furniture sector representative at the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Taher Khaled.
He said after a Jordanian delegation's visit to the Jeddah, Madina and Makkah Chambers of Commerce and Industry that the Saudi market provides a great opportunity for Jordanian industry, adding that the visit 'will be followed by positive steps and outcomes soon.'
In a statement, Khaled noted that Jordan imports raw materials from Saudi Arabia, especially the plastic industry, pointing to 'existing opportunities for industrial integration that can be built on.'
The Jordanian industry is a promising and developing sector, whose exports account for 90 percent of the Kingdom's total exports, with a value of more than $7billion annually.
