Sheikh Joaan Crowns Winners Of Father Amir Camel Racing Festival

DOHA: President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani crowned the winners in the final rounds of the annual purebred Arabian Camel Racing Festival for the sword of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, which concluded at Al Shahaniya race track on Friday, amid wide participation from GCC states.

His Excellency crowned the winners of the six main final rounds of Al Hail and Al Zamoul competitions for tribesmen's camels with silver symbols. Abdulhadi Khalil Al Shahwani, owner of the FIFA camel, was awarded the silver sword after winning the title of the Al Hail (open) round.

His Excellency also awarded two silver shelfa to Abdulhadi Khalil Al Shahwani, owner of the Masyouna camel after winning the title of Al Hail (Omanis), and Zayed Mohammed Al Mansouri, owner of the Bayan camel, after winning the title of Al Hail (production).

His Excellency also awarded three silver daggers to Mohammed Rashid Ghadeer, owner of Al Muhandis and Al Bida camels, after winning Al Zamoul (open) and Al Zamoul (Omanis) rounds respectively, and to Ali Hamad Al Athba, owner of the Hatash camel, after winning the title of Al Zamoul (production).
